We Have a Message for Our Fabulous Caregivers!
"I like that with any issues or concerns that I have, they are open to discussing them. From the beginning, I felt right at home. They are hands-on and friendly. They are like family. I have never worked for anywhere with such a caring and giving attitude." — Caregiver
Selfless Heart Service Award

The recipient of this honor will put others before self and sacrifice to support our clients when they need us most. A true team player, this person will support fellow team members even when it means stepping outside of his/her own job responsibilities. They will convey an attitude of positivity and whatever it takes. They are an example to others.
Congratulations to Our Caregivers of the Month!
Our caregivers are the important individuals who really impact our clients' lives. We want to show them our appreciation by honoring one caregiver every month through our Caregiver of the Month program.
Colleen, Caregiver of
Colleen Keegan, Caregiver of January 2020
Congratulations to our caregiver of the month for January, Colleen Keegan. Colleen has been with Right at Home for over a year and has shown great commitment to quality care for our clients. Colleen brings four years of facility experience to our agency, and she got her start with us after meeting our owner, Steve at a job fair. “Right at Home had a table set up at my school. I spoke to Steve and he seemed like a nice guy. I needed something that was also going to be flexible and work with my school schedule”.
Colleen is also receiving this award because of her punctuality, attendance and her genuine commitment to her clients. “I think I’m getting this award because I take good care of my clients and I’m always on time. The clients tend to be really nice people too”. Colleen is right on, as she has consistently fulfilled our mission statement. She makes it her goal to improve the lives of her clients every day, on every shift.
Colleen keeps busy outside of work as well. As one example, she is part of a medieval reenactment group for fun.
Congratulations again Colleen; we appreciate all that you do!

Sherri Dyer, Caregiver of December 2019
Please join the Right at Home team in congratulating our Caregiver of the month, Sherri Dyer! Sherri has been with Right at Home for eight months, and she has brought nothing but joy and satisfaction to her clients’ lives during that time. Sherri got her start in homecare after taking care of her grandmother and fell in love with it ever since. “About 20 years ago when my Nana had Alzheimers, I left my job to help her. I loved taking care of her so much, I remember saying, ‘I wish I could get paid to do this!’ That's when my career officially began, working for an agency out of West Lawn”.
Sherri is one of our most responsible and professional caregivers who genuinely loves her clients. One of her favorite quotes is “whatever you do, do it as unto the lord and not unto men”. Outside of work Sherri loves to read, watch movies, take walks, and play with her granddaughter, Kylie. Congratulations Sherri, this is well-deserved!

Patricia truly has a genuine desire to help people and she treats our clients with the utmost respect and care they deserve. “I treat our clients how I would expect to be treated especially those who have difficulty caring for themselves. After all, I am a guest in their home”. Patricia has worked in home care for many years and finds providing care for her clients fulfilling and a privilege. “It’s a privilege to be of service to people, and I find fulfillment in what I do. I like to think home care is a unique opportunity to provide quality care in the most familiar setting for our clients”. Patricia goes out of her way to make sure our clients are comfortable in their own home and they are always looking forward to seeing her, “You know you’re doing something right when they cant wait to see you the next day”. Kathryn, Caregiver of
Kathryn Bauer, Caregiver of October 2019
Please join the Right at Home team in congratulating our caregiver of the month, Kathryn Bauer! Kathryn has been with Right at Home for almost two years, and every client of hers has had nothing but positive things to say about her work ethic. Kathy is the type of caregiver to go above and beyond for her clients, so her caregiver of the month recognition is well-deserved.
Kathryn’s start in home care wasn’t at an agency, it was very personal. “My mother had 10 strokes and the last one left her paralyzed. After several years, it really took a toll on my father & sister. I quit my job, flew out to her home and brought her back to live with me”. Kathryn also made it her mission to provide the best care possible for her clients due to her personal experience and neglect she’s witnessed at nursing home facilities. “I’ve had family & friends in the care of nursing homes. They were mistreated & neglected, and I will never let that happen to anyone in my care”.
Kathryn is one of our most empathetic caregivers; she doesn’t think of her job as just a paycheck. “I think of how I would like to be taken care of or treated if I were in their place. We’re all going to be there one day”. Kathryn is not only a hard worker, but she enjoys her personal time away. Outside of work Kathryn loves to go fishing with her little girl and spending time with her family and loved ones. Congratulations Kathryn, and well done!
Regina, Caregiver of
Regina Sanders, Caregiver of September 2019
Congratulations to our caregiver of the month Regina Sanders. Regina has been with the Right at Home team for over three years and brings a great deal of experience to our agency. “I ran a daycare center for fifteen years; I went from taking care of small ones to big ones”. Before coming to Right at Home, Regina was already caregiving for another agency, “A client of mine left one agency and came to Right at Home and asked me to come too”. Regina also emphasized how important her job is to her and how much she loves taking care of our clients. “I do my best; I try to help out but overall I just love my job. I love helping and getting to know them because sometimes were the only ones they see. I want to do the best I can, anyway I can”.
Regina isn’t just one of our hardest working and reliable employees, but she has her fun outside of work. “I like to read, go out to dinner and spend time with my grandson”. Congrats Regina and thank you so much for all you do!

Bev Butler, Caregiver of August 2019
Please help us congratulate our caregiver of the month, Beverly Butler! Beverly has been with the Right at Home team for over a year and it is her time to shine this month. She was very surprised and thankful to have been selected for the first time. Beverly has always found caregiving to be fulfilling when she can meet her client’s needs. “I like to go in a home and help them meet any goals they may have. I also like to work toward making their situation better”. Beverly’s first client with Right at Home was very personal to her, “I once was a caregiver for my cousin. When her health began to decline, she needed longer care hours than what she was presently receiving. Her family contacted RAH & they helped her with more coverage. Mr. Gettins contacted me personally and invited me to become part of Right at Home. I agreed and have been with them ever since”.
Outside of work Beverly loves going out to eat and spending time with her family and friends. Beverly also keeps her favorite quote on her counter to remind her to never give up. “ I have a poem entitled (don't quit) on a counter at home. It reminds me not to give up, even when I fail. You never know if the next attempt will bring success.”
Thanks so much for everything you do, Bev!

Val, Caregiver of July 2019

I love my job because I’m giving a blessing every day and I truly care about the people I take care of. What brought me to RAH was the supportive atmosphere and good people. When I was pregnant and going through some tough times this job was supporting me, working with me and I will never forget that. Thank you to all the old staff and thank you to all the new staff that I met over these past few years.” Valerie is one of the most positive and uplifting caregivers we have, her attitude is truly inspiring, and she lights up the office whenever she stops in. . . as she undoubtedly does for her clients as well.

I don't get that family feeling from some of the other home care places I've worked for. The Right at Home team seems like they care about both their employees and their clients”.
This reward is well deserved, as Loni has always been a hard worker who is willing to lend a helping hand by covering shifts when necessary. Her overall attendance record is outstanding. “I think I'm getting this award because I try to be the best caregiver I can be. Caregiver of the Year
Regina Sanders, Caregiver of the Year 2019
Right at Home Staff would like to congratulate Regina Sanders for earning our Caregiver of the Year for 2019! Regina is a very kind, caring, and uplifting caregiver that every client would love to have in their home. Regina is punctual and exceedingly reliable. She is a team player and a perfect role model for other caregivers given her impact on our brand reputation and client passion. We all know it is sometimes difficult for some clients to accept care. There are also many who require a special level of care. Regina has engaged many of these clients and they have flourished in her care. One of her current clients refused caregivers due to her anxiety. Once we introduced Regina, this client will only accept care from her.
Regina’s patience and understanding are on always on display. Her compassion shows in her own comments: “I once had a very difficult client but he and I just got along; it’s just the way you approach different situations, and you have to see it from their point of view; we’re not coming in to take over, you tell us what you need help with, and I help you with that.” This attitude represents what Right at Home is all about… and we cannot thank Regina enough for living it every day.
Regina’s consistency and reliability are signature her. Her work ethic infects everyone around her including support staff in the Right at Home office and her coworkers in the field. Regina is at the top of our list of caregivers to call when there is a last-minute call out or urgent need. And though she cannot take every client, Regina’s name always come to mind when there is a new client coming on board. Her fellow caregivers always praise her work and feel great about coming in for shifts after her, as they always know care was tip-top during her time there. Well done Regina!
