Kerri Sammis, Office Manager
Kerri grew up on Long Island and joined Right at Home in March 2010 as a companion caregiver. She says, “My mom suffered with Spinal Stenosis and other ailments. She had limited mobility due to severe pain. Thinking back, I wish my mom had someone to help her besides me and my sister. That is why I decided to be a caregiver after she passed away.” Kerri had been a stay-at-home mom, raising her family and working part-time with Twinkle Town Entertainment for Winthrop Pediatric Cancer Center, where she still volunteers. In December, 2010 she started working part-time for Right at Home as a receptionist and administrative assistant. Since then, she has taken on more responsibilities by learning on the job and going back to school part-time. In 2016, she received her certification in Bookkeeping.
Kerri enjoys spending time with family and friends. What she finds most rewarding about working with Right at Home is that “Right at Home as a whole does great work with helping both the elderly and supporting the family through difficult times.”

For over 25 years, Lisa watched her parents taking care of her grandmother. She saw all the emotions in her mom from being the daughter to the caregiver. “I hope that when the time comes, I can do as well as my mom did for my grandmother,” Lisa remarked.
